Demetrius is a native of Odessa, TX–home of Friday Night Lights–but his education and career have carried him slowly east and south. He completed his undergraduate degree at Abilene Christian University and earned his physical therapy degree from Hardin-Simmons.
Upon moving to Austin, he began specializing in sports, orthopedics, and concussion physical therapy and worked as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students. His love for sideline coverage led him to become a licensed athletic trainer which afforded him the opportunity to work with high school, collegiate, and professional athletes.
His passion for teaching compelled him to complete his Doctor of Science in Orthopedic Physical Therapy at Texas Tech Health Science Center where he applied these skills as a full-time faculty member of the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin.
When he is not teaching or treating, Demetrius loves spending time with his wife Kristel, and daughter Grace.
